Built by people who know construction.
We've seen subcontractors get beat up. Not because they did bad work—because they didn't have the data to tell their story. We're here to change that.
Why we built this
Subcontractors are at the bottom of the information food chain. The GC has the schedule. The owner has the money. Everyone has more leverage than the people actually doing the work.
When something goes wrong, it's the sub's fault. When there's a dispute, the GC has the documentation and the sub has... memories. Maybe some notes. A spreadsheet that's two weeks out of date.
We built BlackHyve because that's wrong. The people doing the work should know where they stand. They should have their own data. Their own story. Their own leverage.
What we believe
Data should work for you
You shouldn't need a dedicated person to pull reports. You shouldn't wait weeks to know if you're making money. The numbers should be there when you need them.
The field matters
If your crews can't use it standing in the mud, it doesn't work. We build for dirty phones, bad cell service, and people who don't have time to learn complicated software.
Documentation is defense
When disputes happen—and they will happen—documentation wins. The sub who can point to the data, the photos, the logs, is the sub who gets paid.
Simple beats clever
We're not trying to impress anyone with features. We're trying to solve real problems for real people who don't have time for software that's more complicated than the work itself.
